First Wrap Removal: Your first wrap, applied by me, should be removed the following day. Do not leave it on for more than 24 hours.
Removing the Wrap: To remove the wrap, do so in the shower. Gently peel it off, taking care not to rush the process. Clean the tattoo using non-scented antibacterial soap, but avoid soaking the tattoo—limit your time in the shower.
Drying the Tattoo: After cleaning, let the tattoo air dry for about 15 minutes. During this time, do not apply any products to the tattoo.
Applying the Second Wrap: Once the tattoo is dry, carefully apply the second wrap. If you notice any air bubbles under the wrap, gently lance them to release the trapped air.
Second Wrap Removal: Repeat the process the next day by removing the second wrap and applying a new one. This wrap should be left on for 6 days.
After Wrap Removal: After the 6 days, remove the wrap and begin applying non-scented lotion to the tattooed area for the next 7 days.
Ointment and lotion (general aftercare)
Ointment Application: For the first 3 days, apply a proper tattoo ointment to your fresh tattoo. Recommended products include Mad Rabbit, H2Ocean, or Recovery.
Cleaning the Tattoo: Before applying the ointment, gently clean the tattoo to remove any plasma or residue. Use non-scented antibacterial soap for this process.
Applying Ointment: After cleaning, sparingly apply a thin layer of ointment to the tattoo. Use just enough to leave a matte finish, not glossy. Apply the ointment 2-4 times a day. I recommend washing the tattoo in the morning and at night, then applying the ointment.
After the First 3 Days: Once the initial 3 days have passed, switch to using non-scented lotion instead of ointment. Apply the lotion sparingly, just as you did with the ointment.
Washing and Lotion Application: To avoid pre-mature scab removal, minimize washing the tattoo. Continue applying lotion until the tattoo is fully healed.
